my little cat had a rough start, dropped roadside in bonners ferry, Id. i was heading home for my high school reunion. as i cruised up the North Hill, on a steep corner, i realized i'd just run over a cat, thankfully she was in the middle of the lane. i pulled over and started running for her, as a large Winnebago towing a boat was taking the corner wide, heading straight for her. i was able to flag the driver swerve and stop (who was not happy, given the steepness of the hill and momentum lost). she was under the rig but i was able to crawl under and grab her. thus, winnabago was brought into my family.16+ years later, she is gone. i'm afraid i don't know how or when, but while i was visiting bonners, she disappeared. i am very sad to lose my girl, a constant, a dedicated love, who seemed to care for no one but me. that felt really sweet.
first days in seattle
first days in boise
at the new house in boise, she loved the deck and watching the yard
she loved henry too, and would give him head-butts throughout the day (not that he cared)
my last pic of Winnie taken a few days ago, sorry little girl, i miss you very much.
