marvin is the code name for the art piece that represents idaho at burningman. each state has the opportunity to erect a sculpture on the playa around the base of the 'man'. then they are all burned at the same time, so there is a ring of burning art around the man. it is quite a sight, with thousands of spectators. these works are called 'core' projects. the idaho core crew does a great job designing and building our pieces, all volunteer & donation-based. the crew is responsible for security, for maintaining a safety perimeter during the burn, and for cleanup
