patriotism in Idaho City

traditionally over the holiday, an artist friend, dirk, has a campout at his property in idaho city. randy, kaden and i trekked up there with our trailers to escape the heat and help him with his burningman art installation, called 'chroma'.
the boys and i settled in and levelled
dirk's foundry, one of 2 shops he has for his amazing metal works

pat packs sand for molding plates
randy and kaden's friend cole has a place in garden valley, we hopped over the hill to spend a day hanging out at the ranch and swimming in the river. this house was bought out of a sears and robuck catalog, it has been in cole's family since 1906. his family owned the whole valley, then split it between their 16 children. Cole is the last to keep any of it.
cole breaks horses and such, i'm not sure why he has these two calves, they were very sweet (and skinny)
