No fun in Portland, sort of

 I've had a few health issues lately

surgery at OHSU- throat specialists did vocal chord surgery, followed by 2 weeks of no talking. thankfully my sis was there to help me and keep me entertained and well-translated. mom and dad were waiting for me at home to help me recover (and rake leaves, and paint, and...)
