olympics, eh?

the olympics in one of my favorite cities- far too tempting to resist
cairns along the coastline
very, very excited canucks everywhere
(possibly less fortunate, or potential hipster) got spirit, yes they do, (possibly less fortunate or potential hipster) got spirit, how 'bout you?
watching fellow idahoan "speedy" get his medal for jumping, thanks to the infamous hurricane

after the incredible hockey game, people went crazy nutso

gourds, again

the goards are a fun band from austin, they visit boise at least once a year, and they have close ties to some friends of mine from austin. so we celebrate in grand form when the gang gets together.

gourds crank the blues bouquet

joy, the record exchange promoter, with chris and cathy, the austinites, austonians, austinians, whatever.

da boys

i found the boys having a night out on the town

outside the neurolux

inside pengillys, toe-tapping to the 'damn fools', where multiple couples fell onto the floor during the final set. too much of that devil water, i say.

gary's adieu

my dear friend gary & his fiance are moving to reno, waaaaah! this makes me sad.

jen, gary, and our friend & devoe

new bakery! wooohooo!

denise, lisa and I check out the new yen ching chinese bakery, it was a winner for sure, though the ambiance could be improved. these bready things are my favorite type of pastries, (even more than french pastries). the bread that is more rich than sweet, light, and filled with all sorts of craziness.

work work work

my new hp manager hosted a group-bonding fish fry
fried catfish, cornbread, baked beans, and mac-n-cheese, deelish!
and for dessert, fried twinkies!

eric, twinkies, hot oil= the perfect storm.

the results= blech.
